What a success! Link(ED) received a substantial response to their inaugural initiative "Link(ED)Giving"
Welcome everyone to your one stop shop for everything Link(ED). This past semester, Wichita State, under the direction of Bobby Berry, created this organization to help facilitate a movement of growth, passion, and service not only on Wichita State's campus but in the immediate community that surrounds it.
You may ask yourself, "What does Link(ED) actually do?" Link(ED) is an organization dedicated to the growth of individuals and the community that surrounds them. What drives you? Why does it drive you? Link(ED) helps facilitate those thoughts through their department initiatives.
Every single day Link(ED) strives to build upon the mission of delivering opportunities to students that allows them to achieve their true passion while providing tools and opportunities for personal growth.
Link(ED)Giving is only the start
During this past fall semester, Link(ED) paired up with the WSU College of Education, Shocker Support Locker, and WSU Student Government Association to deliver personal care items to those in need. The Shocker Support Locker provides resources to current WSU, faculty, students, and staff who are facing insecurity in food, clothing, and hygiene products.
Due to our efforts, Link(ED)Giving generated more than 647lbs of personal care items for the Shocker Support Locker. From shampoo to toothpaste to deodorant, to soap, every department delivered a substantial amount of personal care items to help meet this lofty goal. The Shocker Support Locker will be feeling the effects of this initiative for the foreseeable future. Link(ED)Giving is only the start. Be on the lookout for more Link(ED) initiatives and opportunities so you too can not only give back but develop yourself in the process.
